The public is invited to stop in and enjoy musical performances by young musicians from Appleton, Kimberly, and Kaukauna. Vocal performances will include solos, small ensembles, swing choirs and barbershop ensembles. Likewise, there will be instrumental solos of all kinds as well as ensembles, string choirs and jazz bands. Performances will be critiqued by professional musicians and will earn ratings from I through V. Top performers will qualify for the State Solo & Ensemble Festival held in May.
Performing at the Solo & Ensemble Festival is a rewarding experience for students and a moment of pride for their parents. As Plato said, “Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination…”
