Avenue of Ice Sculptures arrives again in downtown Appleton
This weekend, College Avenue in downtown Appleton was transformed into a unique art exhibit: the annual Avenue of Ice Sculptures. This year’s theme? Things We Love About Wisconsin. You will find everything from sculptures with a Green Bay Packer theme to Wisconsin's famous Old Fashioned drink. And, yes, even the Wisconsin Cow!

As long as the weather permits, the Avenue of Ice Sculptures can be viewed along College Avenue from the 600 block west to the 300 block east. Part of the fun is stopping at the local shops, restaurants, and businesses, many of which sponsored the sculptures.

All of the ice sculptures were pre-carved by Krystal Kleer Ice Sculptures, LLC, owned by Paul Salmon. Salmon founded Krystal Kleer Ice Sculptures, LLC in 1988 while working as a professional chef in Green Bay, where he began designing beautiful ice creations. In 1998, Salmon made Kyrstal Kleer Ice Sculptures his full-time career.
According to Abby Novak, Marketing Director for Appleton Downtown, Inc., visitors are encouraged to take photos with the sculptures and share them on Appleton Downtown, Inc.'s Facebook page for a chance to win prizes. Also, be sure to check out the Frosty Finds Passport for access to exclusive deals and products at select Downtown businesses.
The Avenue of Ice Sculptures has become a favorite among the community, downtown small-business owners, and area corporations. Downtown ice carvings were first displayed in 2014 and have since become a signature event in downtown Appleton.
